What’s the difference between Shirts Laundered, Shirts Cold-Washed and Shirts Dry Cleaned?
Shirts Laundered & Pressed - This applies to Business Attire shirts and most shirts that are made of 100% cotton and that don't have bright/dark colors.
Shirts Cold-washed/Dry cleaned - Bright/dark colored shirts are cold-washed. The difference between normal shirt laundry and cold-wash is that the normal process of shirt laundry goes through a machine press while cold-washed shirts are hand-ironed, which ensures that they don't have that shine that you might see on some garments after they are ironed. In summary, the objective is that your dark/bright colored shirts will look like new for 3-4 years of usage. Some shirts require dry cleaning either based on the shirt's label or based on the owners' request. ^

We can clean some household items like bed sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers, blankets and comforters. Please find out the starting prices on our online order form. Prices vary, so rates listed may change depending on the cleaning needed for your items. ^

We are not responsible for any loss or damage due to handling by, storage with or delivery by your doorman, concierge or other authorized person, including, for instance, the erroneous delivery of your garment to a third party cleaner. The rules regarding inventory set forth under “Service Description” apply. ^
Who carries the liability in case of garment damage or other issues?
Today’ s Maid and our Laundry/Dry Cleaning Partner is liable for incidental damages and loss to articles placed within our care if the customer is not at fault. Cases where the customer is at fault include (but not limited to) instances where the customer is aware of special garment treatment but does not use the "Special Instructions" box when placing an order. Our claims system is based on the American National Standards Institute's 'Fair Claims Guide for Consumer Textile Products. We take pride in our business knowing that we can provide the highest level of customer service in the dry cleaning industry!
Care information must be permanently attached to all garments. If this information is not present, the customer fails to provide "Special Instructions", and the garment is damaged as a result, or if care instructions are followed and the garment or some component part fails, the responsibility is with the manufacturer. Your best recourse is to go to the retailer who sold you the item. Good retail practice requires that a store exchange a defective item or refund the price.
Some stains simply can't be removed by any known method, and while no one is to blame, there is no remedy. This is also true of the damaging effects of age on all fabrics.
See Terms of Use for limits of liabilities and other service policies. ^
